Beyond the résumé
The parts of me that don’t fit neatly on LinkedIn.
A few honest details about the person behind the work. Not private, not performative — just enough to know who you’d actually be working with.

Family
Husband. Father of three boys.
Family is the center of my life and one of the places where I’ve learned the most about patience, perspective, responsibility, and the limits of a perfectly designed plan. Any leadership theory that can’t survive a two-year-old at bedtime probably wasn’t built for the real world.
First-generation story
First in my family to graduate college — and to earn a master’s degree.
I’m a first-generation American and the first in my family to graduate from college and to receive a master’s degree. That story shows up in how I think about access, mentorship, and the quiet weight of being the first person in a room to do a thing.
A global life
Six countries, and counting the ones that changed me.
I’ve lived across six countries — Trinidad, Guyana, Grenada, Thailand, India, and the United States. Enough to learn that entering an unfamiliar room with curiosity, listening before assuming, and adapting your approach is not a soft skill — it’s the whole job.
Orlando & community
Grounded in Orlando. Committed to what happens next.
I live in Orlando, Florida, and contribute to professional and community development — including leadership service with ALPFA Orlando. My community work reflects a belief that access, relationships, and entrepreneurship can expand what people believe is possible.
What I love doing
Building relationships. Facilitating. Turning complicated ideas into movement.
Give me a group, a hard question, and a whiteboard, and I’m in my element. I love public speaking, teaching, and the small craft of helping a room think together.
Current curiosities
What has my attention right now.
Practical AI & workflow automation
Tools that quietly remove friction and give people back their afternoons.
Career design & internal mobility
The systems that determine whether talent moves toward opportunity — or doesn't.
Community & entrepreneurship
Access, relationships, and the small acts that expand what people believe is possible.
Storytelling, facilitation & public speaking
Helping groups turn complicated ideas into practical, shared movement.
Travel & learning across cultures
Every new context is a chance to unlearn a small assumption I didn't know I had.
Leadership under real constraints
What good leadership looks like when the room is tired and the budget is smaller than the ambition.
DISC profile
How I tend to show up.
Innermetrix DISC Index · completed March 16, 2026
Apparently, a score of 99 in Interactive means I genuinely enjoy meeting people, building relationships, and talking through ideas. This will surprise absolutely no one who has met me for more than four minutes.
The more useful insight is the combination: I naturally lead with people and optimism, while bringing enough decisiveness and steadiness to move a group toward an outcome. In work mode, my pace becomes faster, my approach more flexible, and I add a little more structure. Same Eddie — just with a deadline and a calendar invite.
Interactive (I)
At my best
- Connects easily and sincerely with a wide range of people.
- Listens actively and can be a calming influence when tension is high.
- Naturally teaches, coaches, encourages, and helps others act on their ideas.
- Builds durable relationships rather than treating networking as a transaction.
- Brings optimism and appropriate humor without using either to avoid the real issue.
- Helps people navigate conflict toward collaborative, win-win outcomes.
My best environment
- Wide involvement with a variety of people.
- Responsibility paired with appropriate authority.
- Room to contribute ideas and challenge assumptions constructively.
- Variety, movement, experimentation, and visible progress.
- A supportive, candid environment with a free exchange of ideas.
- Work where relationships and outcomes both matter.
What I bring to a team
I tend to be the connector — the person who can enter a new room, understand the people in it, find the shared idea, and help the group move. I bring energy, sincerity, imagination, and a bias toward cooperation. I'm especially effective when I can facilitate, persuade, coach, build partnerships, or translate a complicated idea into something people can use.
How to work well with me
Start with the human connection, then bring me the real issue. Be clear about the outcome, support your point of view, invite my input, and make sure we leave with specific next steps. I respond well to candid, respectful conversation. I respond less enthusiastically to rigid agendas, unexplained rules, or discovering that our “brainstorm” has no intention of ever becoming a plan.
The self-aware part
Every strength has an overcaffeinated version of itself. Because I naturally see people, possibilities, and connections, I have to be intentional about saying no, protecting priorities, being direct when accountability is needed, and building strong follow-through systems around the details. Self-awareness does not make those tendencies disappear. It does make them much harder to use as an excuse.
DISC is a useful lens, not a horoscope with office furniture. It describes how I tend to show up — not the limits of how I can.
